overwhelmed by the response to these trips. Within
two days of an announcement in early February 2008
we had booked over 90% of places! We are now
looking for 'like' trips later in the year.

| In
2004, Land
Rover Experience West Country secured access to hundreds of acres of very
private unexplored Devonshire countryside, thanks
to an agreement between Land Rover Experience West
Country and one of the county's biggest landowners
- Clinton Devon Estates. |

| This
gave the opportunity for environmentally aware 4
x 4 off-roaders to take part in
the exclusive days out exploring in their own
vehicles. Areas
of the Heaton Estate in North Devon and Clinton
Estate in East Devon, home of some of the
county's most unique plant and animal specie, being opened up to escorted tours for the
first time in the estates history. |

| In
January 2007 the East Devon coastline was blighted
by the grounding of, and subsequent pollution
from, the 'MSc Napoli' and a decision was
made to postpone all trips until the area had
recovered. We are now able to resume these trips. |

If you have been out with us before, you will see that we have made a number
of changes: we now to
include the exclusive private use of our own dedicated off road Course; a
trip through Sidbury Manor Estate and a finale at the award winning East
Devon Vineyard - Pebblebed Wines. Even if you are convinced that wine from
France is the only palatable option, you will be amazed at the Rose from
this vineyard located near Topsham!
The two trips are limited to a convoy of 10 vehicles maximum. Each Convoy
will have 2 Land Rover Experience West Country Instructors with Recovery
Vehicle (just a precaution - should not be necessary). There are
opportunities for walking (plus dogs under control); photography and some
Historical facts; to say nothing of the wine and cheese and maybe a
bargain or two!!
Land Rover Experience West Country has done a huge amount of research
to make it a vehicle and family friendly day out in a truly glorious part of
Devon. This is not a 'Challenge', so, real intense, dedicated 'off road
competitors' will not be stretched....the day is designed for the 4x4 family
owner who would like to 'have a go' on a fun day out without too much danger
to personnel or vehicle!
You WILL need a 4x4 vehicle, it need not be a Land Rover, but should have a
minimum of 210mm ground clearance (viz-Freelander 2). Our own Experience
vehicle(s) can be made available for the day at £300 plus VAT (£350 plus VAT
for Range Rover Vogue TDV8), fully insured and fuelled. It is
non-competitive but none-the-less you should alert your Insurers - please
read the 'Special Conditions' on the Application Form

| Tours
of the new areas of the Clinton Estate are
exclusive to Land Rover Experience West Country
and will include a 'toll' per vehicle which will
be ploughed back into conservation of the Estate
land. Tours are available for 2008 and special
corporate itineraries are available, including
exclusive accommodation packages with Bovey
Castle, Combe House Hotel, Southgate Hotel and
Hotel Barcelona. |
